2025 NMAM Annual Conference

November 6-7, 2025

Our 2025 theme is a direct response to the growing challenges museums face in a changing climate, both in environmental and political terms. This theme is especially relevant to our host institution, the Roswell Museum, which experienced a devastating flood in October 2024 and continues to grapple with its aftermath. As climate-related events increasingly threaten collections, infrastructure, and community access, we are exploring how museums can adapt, respond, and prepare for future disasters. Through this theme, we aim to deepen the conversation around resilience, sustainability, and the evolving role of museums in times of crisis.
